The kitchen is a place with serious oil stains. Items in the kitchen (such as quartz stone countertops) will form thick stains if not cleaned properly. Although quartz stone is resistant to dirt, discoloration of quartz stone will appear after more than one year. In fact, this is because many people have improper cleaning techniques, which causes the quartz stone countertop to become discolored and dirty. So how should quartz stone be cleaned up?

The surface of quartz stone has excellent corrosion resistance to acid and alkali. The water absorption rate of quartz stone slab is only 0.02%. The liquid substance used in daily use does not penetrate into the inside of the quartz stone slab. The liquid that has been placed on the surface for a long time can be wiped off with a cloth dampened with water or soapy water.

However, there are some misunderstandings about how to clean thick stains. Most people use strong detergents or use iron wire balls to clean them. It is wrong to use this method when cleaning quartz stone, but I don’t deny that it is effective to clean other items. According to the test report issued by a quartz stone manufacturer, the hardness of the quartz stone slab can reach the grade 7 of Mohs hardness , which is second only to the hardness of the diamond, so that the general iron cannot cause damage to its surface. However, rubbing back and forth with a wire ball is not the same, resulting in scratches on the surface.

Therefore, for the quartz stone countertop whose surface has been yellowed and discolored, it is not permitted to use a wire ball for cleaning. It can be wiped with dilute sodium water or paint vehicle. After wiping, use soapy water for cleaning and drying. If conditions permit, you can apply the antifouling agent once or wax the countertop at the end.
